Professor and engineer in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat transfer.
Received his Ph.D. from the city of Odessa the former Soviet Union in 1974
Served as a professor at Damascus University Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering since 1985 and currently part-time.
Served as head of General Mechanical Engineering department, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the University of Damascus between 1979 - 1984 such as the consultant and an integrated office of the Register of commercial assets.
Served as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, University of Damascus between 1991 and 2000.
Traveled for scientific and engineering familiarization tours in China, Russia and the United States of America, Germany, France, Egypt and United Arab Emirates in addition to attending many scientific conferences and courses in many countries.
Conducted scientific research for one year at the University of Houston in the United States during 1985 - 1986.
